Hi, the other day the fiat dealers told me that this car, a fiat punto grande 2007 needs a new fuse box as it's managed to get water into it and rotted it away, car looks in great condition apart from this fuse box. But now I'm told they no longer stock or make this part and that I'd have to find my own way in getting this part and that there would be several different fuse boxes for my model and year of car and that I'd need the right one. Is there an easy way to know what fuse box I need? No wonder the car battery kept going flat, now the EBD failure and the ABS unavailable message pops up on screen, the heater switch was turning my headlights on and off. Not sure if this could have caused more damage somewhere else. Is it worth trying to fix this or would you think its ready for the scrap? Thank you for any advice.

There's a bunch on ebay. If you can get your part number off yours it might be worth a go for not too much for a replacement

its easy to replace as well, look at my recent topic and in it I take fuse box out to sort out water ingress and a small amount of corroded pins

I would think all GP fuseboxes will be the same, just have different fuses and relays in them, give Failsworth Fiat a try [manchester, they do post] or your local fiat breakers.

Worth replacing the fusebox : yes

Worth paying £80+ pounds an hour labour : no

Where are you based.. do you have other transport?

Its probably worth following Levermicento and removing the fusebox

Seeing how it looks..
Taking photos.. then comparing with the ones you see for sale
