Hello All!

So since getting a free mk2 then scapping it a week later....I got on to a mk3 GP 1.2 dynamic and shipped loads of money keeping on the road, BUT have now aquired a clean 4door T-Jet in the same colour I previous had (y)

No problems with the engine on this one, but the previous owner never had brake and springs 'advisories' dealt with so I've just got my garage to do:

- disc and pads all round
- plus both rear shockers
- and both rear springs

Only issue was when it orginally came back to me it was looking more like a tractor as they'd put the standard GP rear springs on!?

Now after changing to the supposed correct part, the rear still seem really high to me, especially after comparing to pictures before work was done - whilst outside the place I bought the car from.

Does anyone have any quick thoughts after looking at this b4 and after pic?

Cheers!

hi, yeah its possible but was a 1 woman owner from new and not sure that was her thing :)

One other thing to mention is my mechinic did say the second lot of (correct) springs were the same size as the ones that came off the car!?

Possibly different coil measurement, spring might be slightly softer so would sit lower. Lots of things other than just the 'length' of the spring

Yes agreed it has to be something apart from 'spring height' as even though the springs where the same height, theres no way it the same ride height now.

ok so I got the part number off my garage for these rear springs, which ended up being the part number for the orginal very wrong/high springs made by lesjofors!?

They've now mention a dealer system number: 511F10260 for the parts that are currently on the car (which still seem just as high to me) but I've no idea how to see what parts/part numbers/manufacturers correspond to this dealer number above??

'lesjofors have also said it doesn't relate to anything there range'

does anyone else have a 4door T-Jet and standard suspension, just wondering what the gap from the wheel to the arch should be?

Mines around 9cm with this new set of generic springs!
