Hello everybody, new to the forum, glad to have bought a Fiat Grande Punto, and become a proud owner of a Fiat. 
I'm having some sort of a problem that I tried to fix one time and I think I have searched almost every thread, so here's my explanation.
I bought the car about 2-3 months ago, Fiat Grande Punto (Mk3) 2009 - 3 door, 1.2 Petrol - LPG. The previous owner gave me only one key, that was the spare key, I guess they've lost the one with the remote.
At the start when I locked the car sometimes the passenger door would also lock, but sometimes it would not lock at all, only the driver side.
When I tried to lock the car from the inside with all the doors locked, it will lock, but after trying from the outside with the key, passenger door was left unlocked more of the time.
After 2-3 months here I am leaving my car on different places with unlocked passenger door. I will get a fob key in the following months but I have no idea if it will resolve the issue.
Also, I have tried opening the driver door and checking the locking mechanism but no luck, I don't know what to do with it.
Could someone tell me if a fob key will fix the issue or should I try a different approach. I will open the passenger side door and check the mechanism there but what's bugging me is that from the inside button the locking works on all doors, it even worked from the outside from time to time in the beginning, now it won't lock from the outside no matter what I try.
