Talking GP TJET - Rear brakes wind back direction?

Hey guys.

Does anyone know which way a 1.4 gp tjet rear brakes wind back. Ive attempted counter clockwise but it is just spinning and not going in and clockwise im getting no moment at at?

Dont want to cause any damage

I would say it depend of what side you're working on, unless they used the same parts to build both calipers. Don't you have to turn AND push the piston (if it's what you're talking about "winding back") ??

You do indeed Bernie. They can be a real pain to move too. I always lift the lip of the piston boot and spray wd40 into it.

The correct tool isnt that expensive and makes the job a whole lot easier too.

Thanks for input guys. For anyone that see this.

Rewind direction: 1) Rear passenger side is - anti clockwise wind back.

2) Drivers side rear - is clockwise wind back for a Grande Punto Tjet.

3) Added note: When you wind back the pistons you need to have the notches at the 9 o clock and 3 o'clock position. If you don't you won't be able to get the caliper to seat onto the caliper bracket properly.

Yes winding back you do need to turn and push at the same time. So have a proper caliper wind back tool is a must
