Hi all, has anybody had any dealings with a fault like this?
I have a 2006 1.4 petrol punto, The airbag and power steering lights are on, I've tried plugging in with a delphi vci scanner and can not connect with either system, neither can I connect to the bcm.
I'm going to assume it's a wire between the diag port and the bcm, but could any body point me in the direction of which wire (bcm end) I should be concentrating my efforts on?
Many thanks Ray

There are a lot of fake Delphi scanners about, as it’s a multiplexing unit then if there is any fault in one of its internal relays then it’s possible it will struggle to connect to anything other than maybe the engine ecu.

Does the scanner function perfectly on other cars, and is it multiplexing while doing this?

Cheers Bernie, I'll have a play around when I find some time.

It is a quality Chinese scanner, lol, but I've never had any issues with it, I've plugged into many different makes and models and various different systems, so I'm confident it's not the scanner.
