Hey guys,

Have had to get one of my gear linkage cable replaced due to it snapping.

Now it drives but the gearstick is almost all the way left, there is practically no difference between first and third and i end up going into third 75% of the time, basically all the gears are very far to the left if that makes sense.

I also don't need to pull up to go into reverse anymore... Any thoughts? :/

You need to adjust the cable above the gear box. Lift bonnet , find adjuster passenger side above gear box,push down on adjuster mechanism,then get some one to put the gear leaver in the neutral(middle) position, let go of adjuster,will be lots better,same a gain for minor tweeks.

Think on the grande,you can turn something in the bottom of the gear lever, so it locks in correct place and you can adjust it by your self.

If a garage or mechanic fitted the new cable you should take it back to them and get them to sort it out. Show them this thread if they don't know what to do.
