New to the forums to sorry if i get anything wrong.
I have had my Grande Punto 1.4 8v 2009 since September 2015 and haven't had any issues with it, i replaced the oil breather pipe as it was smelling in the car, during doing this i broke a section on the air box but used strong glue to fit it back on. There where no issues with the car for over a year of use.
Roll on last week and the car went in for its MOT, got the car back and headed off for a drive, once the engine had heated up around 15-20 mins there was suddenly a lack of power in all gears. I would be driving normally and go to accelerate and nothing, foot to the floor and it would feel like it was bogging.
This issue wasnt there before the MOT and i have had it back at the same garage who ran a diagnostic and came back no faults, i told them about the air box and the guy says he noticed it was loose and stuck it back on for now. As soon as i get it back out it starts doing the same thing again.
I dont have a lot of money so im trying to find the problem myself, Im thinking it could be misfire so possibly change sparks, or could it be a hole in the manifold/exhaust? i read on one thread a woman got told water in the fuel tank?
Any ideas would be vastly appreciated.
Cheers, Dane
Apologies for the wall of text.
