So for about a solid 4 months now, my USB has not been working in playing music from the phone I use for Music (Samsung Galaxy Y) and then my B&M packed up with the NO ENGLISH situation, anyway after the 4 months, last week it got the better of me and I decided to fix it, after sourcing a Microsoft Convergence unit donated from an Eleganza at my local breakers for a crisp tenner (bargain), I installed one night after work and used Examiner to perform Proxy alignment and the unit worked fine, but however the USB still won't play my music and after another trip today to the breakers to once again raid the Eleganza of it's USB port to see if mine was at fault but it turns out the new one does the exact same as the old one, when connecting the phone to the usb and transferring files it sits there for 15-20 seconds before reverting to FM radio again. All advice welcome. Thanks in Advance

I don't know if this helps you but I put my music on a memory stick and leave it in and it works OK, although every now and then it'll just loop 2 or 3 songs instead of all of them. I just format the stick again and put the music back on and it works again. Might be an easier option if it works for you.

What age is the car?

My 59 plate would not recognise media stick or cooperate with my phone until I updated the blue and me software. This is free from fiat website and takes no time to install. Had to do the two updates in sequence, all works fine now.
Could it be that a system update to the phone has screwed things?
Occasionally my car stops recognising the stick and displays no media. Hit the voice button and say "play anything" and it comes back to life.
Try the update and then shout at it.

I found that B&M doesn't like phones with dual storage (i.e. onboard and microSD), as the unit can't tell which one to use.

As said above, just pop your music on a USB key and play them from that.

Never have this trouble with my cassette player!

I work at a Fiat dealer so the radio update memory stick will be hiding in our master techs tub of misc. updates. haha I'll try updating the system or see if it requires an update, but what puzzles me is that my phone use to work flawlessly with it and then all of sudden got progessively worse, it first started off playing a song for 30 seconds and then revert to FM then when I re-connected it worked fine and would only do it once or twice a week, then it went to playing a song for 30 seconds and would then switch back to FM everytime after connecting it, then under the master techs advice was to disconnect the battery for 15mins to reset the system which after that point the system went kaput although I had a feeling it was on its way out anyway.
