Im going to lower my gp using coilovers, someone has told me that you can't lower your car without low profile tires? Is this true? Some help me please thanks

It depends what you're trying to achieve. You can lower a car on standard wheels and tyres easily enough, it'll just look like a heavily-loaded car though! I think most people who lower them are trying to achieve a certain "look" - for which you'd need "big boots" too. Whether it's a sensible thing to do, is a different question though. There are plenty of downsides to doing it, but some people like it. Whatever you do though, tell your insurer!
