It will be the resistor mate if you look under your glove box you will see two wiring looms, one with two wires and one with five wires the loom with the five wires is where the problem lies. Later to day when it is light again disconnect the five wire connector from the resistor and have a look at the connector block, more than likely the fourth pin in will look a little nasty and be melted somewhat. You can as a temporary fix do what I did and clean the connector block and resistor pins with some emery paper and plug it back in and it will more than likely work for a short while. You are best off replacing them both together mate. The resistor may or may not be held in with a screw. Mine wasn't and the only way I could get it out was to use force with a flat headed screwdriver.
For a permanent fix it is going to cost you around £50.00 and about 30 mins of your time together with a crimping set and/or soldering iron. Crimping and electrical tape will do the same job mate tbh.
I know this as I did this job on Friday on my GP.
