Hi, I guess I am being a bit lazy, but to save me time can you guys help me.
My wife's GP has developed a clunk on the front near side. It has got progressively worse recently. What is the most likely cause, I cannot see any play in the top mount, so I am guessing drop link or outter ball joint?

I've had this problem ages,
Most common reasons on grande punto for knocking at front are shocker top bearings collapsing - cheap fix
Also known fault is steering rack bushes - not a cheap fix

I've done both and no joy, like u say drop links and cv boot could cause it, whack it on full lock and drive in a circle and see if it repeats that'll be an indicator

This, I've had 3 go on me in the past 2.5 years (one was due to ripped gator which is now MOT fail).

Same problem on the missus sporting, going to do the bearings, springs, and droplinks seeing as I've also been told the spring allegedly has a cracked spring anyway

It was the drop link, it was well knackered. It's the same as the corsa, which is cheaper at my supplier.

Having a similar problem at the moment. Was it only making the sound at low speeds and whilst turning? During parallel parking for example.
