Actually the grande punto has a 56.6 centre bore not 58, bit if your bore is 56.1 they are too small mate, you need them the same size or bigger and use spigot rings to fit as best they can.

Send them back!

Spent more than 50p on products, zero on R&D.

While you have tyres rubbing you are illegal and dangerous and have zero credibility.

I have also spent money getting everything aligned and balanced. Been to a fiat dealer for MOT and passed.

When I say it rubs it is purely to do with how low my car is nothing to do with the wheel setup.

If they don't fit properly, its a bodge. Not safe when dealing with wheels.
Make it fit correctly, or don't fit it. Don't compromise yours, or anyone else's safety.

If you are involved in a collision and your car is unsafe, you will be prosecuted. All such modifications MUST be advised to your insurance company, or you will be uninsured.

I would say that the vast majority of us who mod our cars do inform our respective insurance companies. :slayer:
sammclean23 - If I was you mate I would listen to what BenYoung is saying, this guy has taken the time and spent the money on giving his GP a lovely stance. (y)

At the end of the day we are on a forum and we are all entitled to our 'opinion' but advice on the other hand from people that have done mods correctly should be listened to. :)

And sam, what do you mean? Is your spacer not sitting flat on the hub when all bolted up? That doesn't sound right what brand are the spacers?

Them ones mate. They state the centre bore is 56.1. You say it should be the same size or bigger so in theory should fit?

EDIT: just read your post again. Gonna have to send them back!

@portland_bill i'm insured with a company called Adrian Flux. They specialise in covering modifications such as this. I'm covered. Also, I know it's a bodge mate. Which is why I have took them off before driving. Thanks for the help though I do appreciate people taking the time to

Now im not having a go at whats all been said but am I the only one who can see sence in what @portland_bill is saying with regards to adding stress to the running gear?

to TRY and make it eaiser; having bigger depth wheels (like ben does) and having spacers to counter the extra wheel size is perfectly fine and will work with no problems.
to add spacers to a standard size rim and pushing the wheels out, would cause more stress on the weight distribution on the cars hub/cv's etc. because the wheels are effectively being mounted at a different point. ( this changing the Geo of weight distribution across the running gear )

its hard to explain without having a car in front of me to point and move the wheel around etc haha.

and I don't know an awful lot about wheel spacing etc. I'm only trying to help explain what portland bill is trying to say.
at the end of the day its about running the car safely

Think we all can see sense in what he was saying, I thanked him multiple times.

That aside, will see how it pans out. Everything on my car, suspension wise, seems to break anyway so a litle bit extra wear can't be too bad. Plus theyre easily removed, unlike coils.
