I have an aftermarket stereo fitted which obviously causes the steering wheel controls not to work. Is there any kind of wiring kit i can buy to make these work again? Dealer said they weren't able to do it, which i presumed just meant they couldn't be arsed.

They do exist, depends on the brand of the stereo.
 
They are available online... Kenwood fitters/installers should have them as well... But easier to get online.

Note that you will not regain blue and me controls...


(Still looking for a way to retain those buttons with an aftermarket stereo...)
