can anybody please tell me what this warning is all about ,it only happens early morning 3days out of 7 many thanks.

The car believes the coolant is over hot (it thinks the cars engine is over heating)

often due to bad voltage from a low charged battery/ faulty battery/ dirty / corroded earth terminals

in some cases it can be a Body computer software glitch which in some cases can be updated by a fiat dealership which affected the early gp's

Is yours a 2012 facelift or is it older?

Unfortunately (lot of) people only write when they have a problem, not when it is solved ;)

What age for your car ? Your battery ?
Happens only at cold start ? Are you able to indicate us voltage of your battery in this condition ?

Mines is 08 battery is new only happens after short journeys

Used to happen to my gp. Fine after I changed the battery...

Give it a go

Think there more to it than the battery I gonna get it tested tomorrow and see

Sorry to reignite an old thread but did anyone get this solved?? And also could a dodgy starter motor cause this warning to flash up at all?? I know it’s not the battery because it’s new and I’ve had my glow plugs tested (all fine) and glow plug relay is new...my partner thinks it’s the starter motor and I’m thinking it may be alternator, though this was also changed just 4 years ago (2015)?? I’ve got a 2007 1.9 mjet, 96000 miles and starting issues...though this excess fluid temp flashes up after the car is warmed mostly
