Well wife had the car all day and its been fine with the non flip key upto now, like you say will run it with that for a week and see what happens, gonna service it tomorrow with oil and filters so ill check that ecu earth at same time and a quick check on the breather pipe under the air box as now and then get a fuel smell in the car.

well 3 days in with the master key and the Car hasnt failed to start once yet so is looking to be the flip key is the issue. If it is what is it that could be at fault with the Key is it the transponder or something else. does it mean its a new key needed??

well its been a week on and no starting problems what so ever by using the Master key..
so looks like its and issue with the flip key...whats the best way to go about fixing this so she gets her flip key back in use.

Did you ever find out what the problem was sounds very similar to mine and its doing my head in too.

hi, my car seems as if its bene having the same problem. i thought water had got in somewhere as it had been raining each time it wouldnt start and i had gone through two puddles and went to work and the car wouldnt start, my lights , wipers, radio etc came on but nothing at all after that no sound from the fuel pump, this has now happened three times last one today. im assuming the master key is the one with the car lock etc on it, as i keep my spare key on the car. the last time it done the same i had parked it up at 9am and by 9am next day it wouldnt start but then come 12 jumped in it and off it went. im really hoping for the same tommorow as this is really starting to annoy me now and i really done want to phone my breakdown cover.
