Right so I've got the fiat official rear mudflaps, was happy looking at other threads on here about how to fit them, seems relatively easy (and it is) but I've encountered a snag...the 'screw' on the inner wheel arch doesn't seem to have a head on it....here's a few pics to explain:

The screw I'm talking about in the wheel arch

And this is a close up, looks like its just a circle...(pics sideways)

It doesn't even look like its been hacked at before and the heads been rounded..it's just always been a circle by the looks of things

So any ideas on how to get them out as I'm pretty eager for these mudflaps to go on..I won't be beaten!:bang:

Use a drill bit that is about the same size as the shaft of the screw/bolt. Drill through the head until you have displaced the screw/bolt.

I cannot imagine that the screw or maybe even the bolt that is in there will be very big or in fact wide.

you have met Ferrous oxide (aka rust)

as its in plastic the drill bit approach might do more harm than good.... (heat and rotational force of a drill bit might strip the thread out the bumper)

this is what i would try first

(got my set from ALDI for about a £5 er 6 months ago)

or these

Or a small hammer and a TORX bit

failing that if you have access to a dremal cut a slot in the head and use a slotted driver

oh yes RUST...... RED RUST one of my first jobs when i got my evo was to blather any fixings with underseal and replace them with stainless as and when i removed them ;)

the wheel arches are obviously filled with salt spray at this time of year and that does the zinc coated screws no favours...

b and q will probably have them but they are not the cheapest place
