So had some interest when I listed that I was getting a armrest for my GP so as promised here's a right up and pics.
So I got it from eBay after looking at the armster and decided that the price didn't really justify it and I have just bought my GP as well as a new clutch and gear box for my land rover so my decision was based on my budget. I paid £45 for it and pretty happy with it to be honest
Here it is (assembled)
So with the base you get a choice of height by adjusting which holes you chose, obviously the higher you go the lower the armrest will be and the lower you go the higher it will be.
The base armrest it self attaches to the base from underneath with 4 screw
And Ta-Da its assembled, from reading the instructions I though getting it in the car would be a breeze but Ooo No. The instruction way to place as close to the handbrake as you can, the rear two screws we're easy by moving the seat all the way forward you can easily get to them. If you look at the 2 picture below you'll see the issue I had.
The rear screw we're easy (see below)
The issue came when try to get to the front screws, by the way they are self tapping screws so require a bit pressure to get in. The seat would go far enough forward or back for me to get at it (see below)
Luckily my dad stopped by to visit so I roped him in, we ended up using pliers with a philips screw driver bit and a flat head levered against the back of it too apply pressure. So below is a few pictures of it installed, its very sturdy and I'm very happy with it and driving with it is very comfortable.
It took me about 40 minutes to do including wrestling with the front screws, did spend 8 hours cleaning the car before this though-
Not a bad job considering its the first car I've 'detailed'
