Hi, had my 3 door GP for a couple of months, lovely car and have done bits and pieces.

Question, my headlining by the tailgate is stained and damp, i have checked the rubber and its not split, is it possible to get in behind the lights? this is affecting left and right corners. I don't have a sun roof.

is there a washer jet at rear above tailgate maybe valve faulty and water going into car.,yes water can get in behind lamps but cannot flow uphill unless an aussie car:D

Haven't used the rear washer, only gets damp when raining, i might just change the rear rubber as its 4 yrs old anyway. I will check the rear washer jet for peace of mind.

Looks like i might need to peel the rear headlining down, that might show a dry water track which leads to the leak.

aerial on roof i had to silicone one due to a leak down ,i dont know if it could flow down that far ,but if it gets wet while it rains suggests a leak when tailgate open any gaitor guides at corners carrying wires as they can leak if punctured or grommet not inserted.

Aerial is a good tip, its both sides that get wet so unless i am having rotten luck i can't see grommets on both sides leaking, aerial first thing on friday.

All good points, guess the only way is too pull it all out, off work friday so i can have a look and get back to you guys.

Strange thing but every Italian car i've owned has leaked:bang:

I would be looking closely at the seals on both sides. The aerial should be obvious just by pulling the head cloth down slightly.

seals look ok, there is even a rubber mark on the tailgate so i know the tailgate is sealing properly.

Is the seal expensive, i might just get one for piece of mind.

Check to see if the Aerial is tight, I had the same on my GP, just tightend up the aerial bolt and its now dry (y)

I will put a bead of silicone around the hinges, also noticed the roof aerial might need tightening down, i can lift the seal around the aerial.

Fibreglass fibres, i spent thursday night pulling out fibres from my fingers.
