the vxr may be up a lot on bhp but its unusable due to understeer, oversteer, weel spin etc, top gear ragged one and it was poor, the torque of an m jet with a few mods im sure would make it a closer match. if all else fails buy a tin of brake fluid and a balaclava......

lol you would need a lot more than a couple of mods on a mjet to keep up with that VXR.
 
NOS all the way - might blow your engine up but so what..who needs an engine anyway.

Should of bought an AGP SS if you want to beat a vxr corsa, then you have a 1.4 that can wipe the smug look off of his face!
 
I would recommend a Punto or a 500 Abarth esseesse, then go to Daron at TMC and get it re-mapped. I know a lad from Cardiff who did this and when he took his Punto to a rolling road he found out he had 235BHP. Plus VXRs are pretty crud in my opinion, id much rather the looks and uniqueness of the Abarths......

Aren't corsa vxr nurburgrings like 22 grand? Couldn't spend that on a car and still only have a corsa. Id rather get a second hand m3

Its not really a valid arugment though is it?

The corsa may be a hatch back at £22k+ but its running costs will far lower than an M3.

Tyres, brakes, oil, fuel, mods, insurance etc all have to be took into consideration.
 
You seem to have the approach of someone who does not mind spending alot of money. If this is true - buy a GP S2000 ;)
You will have time to read the history of the car by the time he finishes :)





OR, you could just drive sensibly and then the joke will be on your friend.

Very true. Wasn't a serious comment but still couldn't spend 22k on a corsa.
 
my t-jet is running 176bhp 211lbs torque and ive had runs with 3 different corsa vxrs and beat them, acceleration their pretty much exactly the same but after about 90/100mph they slow down and i carry on even the corsa vxr racing edition couldnt keep up maybe i was lucky and they werent very good drivers ;) but it still put a big smile on my face :D, obviously i only get ahead by 1 or 2 car lengths but as the famous saying of vin diesel (doesnt matter if you win by an inch or a mile winnings winning)
 
I don't care a modded t-jet won't beat an ss agp, no way!! I have had a play with Marlow in his ss many of times and whatever I do I can't keep up after third!

This was James1989 old car and I had a tear up with him just before he sold it to you, mine was standard at 147 bhp and it was exactly the same between me and him, he was upset haha!!

I'm talking Quarter Mile here, one time it was was very close between the SS and me, he ran 15.34 and I ran 15.28, however most of his other runs were slower than my average. The other SS couldn't beat 15.6.
