Hi ive had my fiat punto 2007 3 months came out the other morning to find the battery flat, bought a new battery only to find later that evening that that one was flat,:bang: the front fog lights were on and drained the battery, no lights were on the dash, i took the fuse out for the fog lights and they still stayed on, eventually they went off took it to local dealer and they couldnt find a fault, has anyone had the same problem or idea what it could be? many thanks jon

yeah was out in rain, its always damp in cornwall, somebody else said it might be that, would a spray of wd40 get out any moisture? or is that not ok on electrical items

First off check inside the fuse box....

if its wet first dry it out WD-40 wont do any real harm but it can degrade plastics over a period of time and wont solve your problems long term...

your better off sorting why its leaking in the first place is the lid on correctly it can be a pain to get the lid back on the early gp;s (the newer one has a screw top lid)

Try living in Scotland, or waterworld as it's known!

If lights are staying on then it must be from the battery live at the relay, take the relay out to prove.

will do when it does it again it seems to have fixed itself at the minute, many thanks for all your help
