i have a t-jet and 1.4 turbo . and im looking to get

- forge front mount intercooler
- abarth turbo
- forge actuator
- the abarth max road cams
- new injectors
- and a red dot map ..

..i estimated a price round £1700 +

but i have a few doubts because i want to no if the gearbox can take that sort of power????

because i have to friends who have the same car , very similar stuff to what i put up for modifications , and one is running 180bhp and the other close on 200bhp , And both of there gearbox's were ruined , 180bhp bearing went in the gbox , and on the 200hp tjet 4th gear went ,,,

should i upgrade my box before i run this kind of power , or is there another way round it ???

Just buy an Abarth...

Hey Chris welcome to the fix, it again tomorrow forum lol, we spoke bwt this, loads of times, it was down to our style of driving, especially ragging it to 6500rpm in first, (Tomas) lol or buy an Abarth gearbox, like myself and then ull have no worries, but yes you will be looking over 200bhp+ with those mods

£1700 + £2000

There's alot of money to be spent there. IMO go for intercooler, turbo and remap. Then worry about a gear box when you get up near 210bhp
