hi just got my grand punto last week, 08 reg, and today i realised that a red light has come on the dashboard- looks a bit like a door, does anyone know what it means? i havent got an owners manual yet.

look like a door................that'll be the door open warning light, probably boot and it'll need a lock.

Check the doors are shut first.
Failing that its probably water in the boot lid and as T has said - requires a new lock. Covered under 2nd year warranty. Perhaps not if the car is in its 3rd year but will probably be covered by wherever you bought the car from anyway since its happened so soon.
