Back from the Fast Show and my grande punto 1.2 seems the slowest thing about, i have been trawling through the threads in search of information, but none is that specific.

What modifications can i do to make my car quicker, how much will it cost, and what sort of power gain will i notice. Is a Turbo possible?

Thanks.

A turbo is probably out of your budget because it would probably cost £2000 + so you would be better just buying a faster car. I think the best thing to do would be to get an induction kit like a GSR induction and a remap which would give you around an extra 10 bhp but thats a lot of money for very little performance gain. You could strip your car out such as removing rear steats, trim and spare wheel which would shave some weight if you were really serious about going that bit faster:p

Sorry to give bad news, but just save up for a car with a bigger engine.

You could spend a fortune on the 1.2 for little gain. WIll also make your insurance sky high and when you come to sell nobody will buy.

by how you are speaking, im guessing the other modifications needed would be a lot of money? so therefore i wont be buying it haha. Just seems a shame that i would have to sell my car in order for more power.

not neccessarily, get a bigger engine off ebay, 1.4s are always fro sale. get a tjet engine for about 3-700 pounds, thats a start. then when u can upgrade gear box and clutch, if they are different in tjet, then modify away

this is only an 8v and not turbod one, so probs not worht effort
