im pretty sure the vtrs 0-60 is something like 8 seconds, faster than a tjet

Nearer 9 seconds. But they lose out on torque. They get off the line quicker than a T-Jet, but it doesn't take too long to reel them in.

Thing is, the above applies to a standard VTR, most are modded!

with the tjet against a modded vtr i wouldnt bet on winning the gp is to freaking heavy

Very true. Compare the electrics in a T-Jet compared to a VTR...windows, cruise control, blue & me, steering, seats etc. I'm just grateful there's no full size spare wheel!

I was.

He'd never keep up with a VTR.

lmao okay ;) did you also note into your "equation" the rolling radius of wheels which obviously affects gearing and acceleration and what was actually in the car at the time? no. so dont run your mouth when you dont know the facts :)

pretty sure id smash you all over the road in my coupe anyway though hunny ;):)

You weren't on about your coupe though were you, you were on about your GP, 'sweet heart'.

Ah of course, how daft of me. I forgot you've removed your rear wiper. I completely forgot to take into account the weight loss.

And yeah, i also get your point about how the 20" wheels on the Saxo must have really slowed him down. I mean, they must have been at least 20" to have an effect, right?

You win.

<Must ignore the added weight from all the 'ICE'>

Why you being a tit?

I'm kind of with him really. A 1.2 would never keep up with even a standard Saxo VTR. Even with heavy modifications and massive weight loss programme, I just couldn't see it happening.

As with anything though - there are always more diplomatic ways of putting things :)

No chip on my shoulder, and certainly not because i'm a 'noob', i'm very familiar with car-specific forums.

By initial comment was sarcastic, i did actually laugh out loud however when i read that a 1.2 GP would keep up with a VTR. I've qualified my reasons why, with no malice or in no way to provoke.

I only gained the 'chip on my shoulder' after being called 'hunny', and being told i was running my mouth, without facts. I stated the facts, and stand by them.

I'm here with no intent to wind any body up or cause any fury, i'm just stating my opinion based on previous experiences of a VTR (although not owned by myself i'll add).

However, if provoked, i can give as good as i get ;)

Hope that's cleared things up. (y)

Jamie, stick your results on here from your rolling road to show the figures!;)(i assume you do have done one?)

Not slating you dude but would help your argument that you eat VTR's for breakfast!:p

On topic to OP, think you would be mad to heavily mod the motor you have, and should just get an induction kit, lowered suspension, exhaust, lightweight alloy wheels and just not use the brakes as much around the corners to keep up with the faster motors!!

Straight line speed is nothing, good handling corners can be waaayyy more fun! I had a 1.2 punto mk2(MD FK) speed past me on a dual carrage way in the sporting then absolutely left him standing on the corners!:D
