the horn on my friends punto works now and again i have been tryin to get the centre steering wheel cover off but cant see any screws or anything holding it its a 2007 1.2 anyone help please thanx mark

You don't want to be messing with the airbag, take it to a garage that knows what there doing.

i usually do all my own work but this centre just doesnt want to come off

There is two screws holding it on, at 9 and 3 o'clock. Think there torx/star headed,

We shall await the arrival of your "How do i get this AIRBAG Error warning light off" thread :shrug:

or "How do i remove the steering wheel cover from my teeth" after the airbag deploys on you if your really unlucky.:tempt:

On a serious note though, dont forget to disconnect the battery before you do this as removal of the connector while they car is powered will result in an error being logged and your airbags disabled. Leaving you a trip to the dealership or to someone with the relevant diagnostic tools to clear the error.

i have the fiat diagnostics tool so airbag light should not be a problem cheers for replys

Yeah, but not a FIAT one? Just a standard one for any car? You may find it can't reset the light on the GP.

You need Examiner to talk to the GP's airbag ECU. I would personally be more worried about it blowing up in my face but hey ho :dead::shrug:

Or very soon a PC, ELM or KLine connector and FIATECUDIAG.

Great then, just some of the generics won't do it. Why not just remove the battery terminal first though, leave the car for half an hour and then do the job.

Save recording an error.

Which one is it? Im quite interested to see if it can do any other stuff that the generic ones can't do?
