Technical Starting problem (revs drop off)

I took your advice and swapped the MAF sensor and the problem has gone away.

Today the car started perfect as normal but on the way to work the car now fully warm stalled 3 times during the journey.

Not got MAF:confused:

I'd be looking at throttle learn (is the breather pipe clear/clean?

I am getting the excess radiator temp message

software update will cure this (depending on hardware version)

T do I mean I replaced the MAP sensor on the side on the intake?

The cam cover to air filter hose is brand new as I replaced it due to a split a few months back. Is that the hose you mention?

Edit: How do I perform a throttle learn? - just hit the search button, if the problem happens again I will do this routine you suggest before replacing the battery.

Cheers.

i have a o6 1.4 8v punto and have iddle problems.when auto choke comes off and revs settle below 1000 revs every 20 secs it tries to cut out and then revs to over 1000revs before settling again below 1000. sometimes engine does cut out when stationry or pulling up at junctions. No eml was on and engine runs fine otherwise. ive checked battery voltage and connections, cleaned thottle body out but still the same. if i dissconect the map sensor engine runs rough on tick over but maintains iddle speed, but since this eml stays on even after dissconecting battery. also think temp sensor is faulty because has come up a few times that rad fluid too hot when its cold

Can you explain to me how putting screws into the terminals helped? It seems like all the issues described are exact what I am experiencing currently.

Just improving the contact between the battery terminal and the cable connector by increasing the clamping pressure. Remove connectors and clean the contact surfaces, on battery aswell, reconnect, ensure they're fully inserted before doing the screw trick...
