Are Coil Springs covered by warranty?

I've taken my 07 Grande Punto to Kwik Fit because I thought that the exhaust was rattling slightly. Apparentley the exhaust is fine but I have a problem with the front Coil Springs. One has broken and the other is about to go. The one that has broken has ripped a small chunk out of the inside of the tyre. The car is covered by the third year dealer warranty which I recently transferred into my name. Does anyone know whether the coil springs and the resultant damaged tyre would be covered by the warranty? The car has only done 11000 miles so what would cause this damage.

Mines were covered in the 3rd year warranty. Strut bearings too.

how is a spring about to go its either snapped or not however thats of no concern as they should be replaced as a pair at this mileage anyway.

Re: Are Coil Springs covered by warranty?

err it could have a crack but not be completely broken yet,and yes it would be advisable to fit them as a pair.
