I read in a thread the other day (and I can't find it again??) that the lights in the GP keep turned on for 30 seconds if you turn off the car and flick them on... is that true, or did I miss read that?

Yes, its true.

When the engine is off, pull the indicator stalk back (as if your flashing someone) and the 'follow me' function will come on. You'll see it appear in the display on the dash.

You can also set the time period you want the lights to stay on for by pulling on the stalk again. Think it goes 30secs, 60secs, 2mins etc.

I think it only works within a few seconds of turning off the ignition though.

*Edit* Too late, rosshutchie beat me to it.

Mr T - I tried to, but the manual also fell to bits

In all seriousness though, the manual is hundreds of pages long - plus the one for entertainment systems! I think the best thing ever in a manual would be a list of things the car can do, with a very brief description of what each thing is. Much less than the full manual, but a bit more than a contents page. If people wanted to know more, they could then read into how to use said features.

No... we're men, we have a tinker and work it out for ourselves... and if we can't get it to work, We sulk, swear and curse the offending item hit it several times if all else fails ... it's obviously broken! (y)

edited for accuracy

I would like to make an addition to that - "while pretending that it's going OK the whole time, when the other half asks how you are doing. In the likely event that it is 'broken' - that is how it came" :D
