Technical Seat Belt Warning Alarm!!!!

the things in my seatbelt buckles broke that deactivates the beep when the belt gets clipped in. From waiting 2 weeks for replacement parts i can 100% say they do not stop in my car.

get a bit of cardboard and slide it into the bit where you click your seat belt onto. This worked in my friend golf TDI. I think it will work in this case, my brother is going to pick his up on friday so i will try it then :).

if you look in your hand book it says:
1. turn the key to the position before start,
2. put your belt on and wait 20 seconds,
3. start the car,
4. take off your belt,
and it does not beep or flash just stays on constentley, i have tryed it. but do you want to sit on the drive for 20 seconds before every time you start the car ?

Don't put anything on the front or rear seat that isn't strapped down. If there's an accident, the stuff becomes airborne and could take an eye out. It's still moving at 30mph+ when you slam the brakes on. It also scratches the dashboard if it moves around.

As to mates refusing to wear a seat-belt, the driver is liable for making sure passengers are strapped in and could face a £50 fixed penalty. If they are not strappped in, it's one more reason for trafpol to pull you over, not wearing a seatbelt often results in a pull and a search for herbal or other substances. People who don't wear seatbelts often seem to like drugs, for some reason. :) You could also be liable for contributory negligence if they are injured. Tell them to buckle up or walk. They'll buckle up.

And, handbags on seats? My elderly mother had her side window smashed and her handbag grabbed off the seat in Bromley, London a short while ago while she waited at traffic lights. That was traumatic enough but the cost for the new car keys and house locks was nearly £300. Mens jackets get snatched too, they often have wallets and keys in them. A brick or a spark plug comes through the window, and by the time you're out of the car, your stuff has gone.

I've got a 2012 ducato. And every morning drive down a farm track gated road before I enter the general highway.
So because I'm in and out of the van I don't put my belt on until I get to the main road because of all the gates I'm openi g and closing. However the seat belt alarm is driving me crazy. How do I turn it off?

Put your seat belt on, or put it on when your not in the seat and sit over the top of it.

Multieco scan sounds like the ticket.
Im Presuming thats something the dealer needs to do right?

As dombooth says that item on eBay will do the trick, or you can do it through the cars computer with the respective equipment, or the easiest way is to just unplug your seatbelt wire from underneath the seat and run a bit of wire between the 2 pins, closing the circuit and making the car think you have the seatbelt on all the time.
