does anyone know when or if anyones ever going to be able to remap my starjet. oldskool said they hadnt cracked the ecu code yet but are they even trying? or should i just give up all hope of getting a remap?

well ive asked oldskool recently but who else should i try? loads of other places look like they just re map diesels should i try them just in case?

oh right so you dont think that would be for the ecu on my engine then mat? and if my engines running 106hp and the website quoted i would gain 10hp would that mean id get about 116hp or is that gain only if your engines currently got 95hp?
and is 10hp all you guys think i would get from a remap or do you think if oldskool manages to crack the ecu he would be able to get more. as 275 quid for 10hp sounds alot of money to me.
sorry i ask too many questions.

Nah i think it will be for the mk2b one. 10bhp from a map on an NA is good with nothing else done. With a GSR you might gain a bit more power and torque from it but impossible to say! Most 1.4 engines from the mk2b see 120bhp with a map, exhaust and induction so i think this would be maximum available to you. Some ecus just cant be cracked. Like the ECU in the mk2 HGT that has never been cracked and probably never will without it costing silly amounts of money.

Ahh ok. I thought it might have been since they list the other engines there that aren't from GPs. It's still worth asking though isn't dj_mtbiker_no1? Plus the guys at red-dot might be able to get the code from them or whatever it is they need lol. I think there would be a few people interested in it. Worth a try though (y)

Your best bet is red dot mate, its alright people saying they can map it but at the end of the day you dont know if they are just saying that to get your cash.

yea thanks matt thats where i got my gsr induction kit fitted and tested so thats where ill go for the remap. just gotta wait for one now
