Need some help please.......

Wanting to lower my grande punto but not stupidly low, problem is not sure weather to lower it with Eibach Sportline springs as that seems to be the obvious spring choice on here or get a set of coilovers. Just wanting to know what is best baring in mind coilovers seem to start at around the £500 mark.

Also if you do recomend coilovers which make would you suggest?

Cheers

Havn't heard any bad reports about FK. Pretty cheap as well (y)

Ive got KW Coilovers in my M-jet. Completely transforms the handling, almost no roll going into bends when the coilovers are screwed a good bit down that is. Cant wait to get the forge braces installed, should be even better.

One thing you will need to be careful of is how low the sump sits on the M-jet. Ive almost beached mine on a few ramps, so you need to be pretty careful were you go :D

Just about squeezes in lol

The FK ones you linked to are for an Mjet so if you have a petrol they wont fit. Weitec are better than FK along with KW but obviously they are more expensive. There is nothing wrong with FK though but if you get coilovers then you have another 200 on top to get them set up properly.

I couldnt get back onto the road in that pic, i had to reverse and go at an angle.

my weitec's are the dogs doo doo, hence why clawliger keeps buggin me to sell em :p

Take it you have all the machines to get the camber set up properly?

nope, admitadly i would need someone to set that up for me as well as probs redo the tracking but apart from that id be fine, i know a few people in the trade so probs would be a lot less than that.......

another question for ya.....not sure how true this is but i heard that the sporting is already lowered 20mm at the front compared to the normal grande, is this correct??? as thinking about it the front isnt that bad its really just the back thats way high......

thats one idea lol, just thinking about it as the eibach sportlines drop 35mm on the front and 30mm on the rear and when ive seen pics of people lowering it the front only seems to have dropped by around 15mm where as the back seems to have lowered by twice as much if ya get me as the thought of the front of mine been any lower scares me due to the scarely low sump on the M'jet

isnt yours a T'jet though as on the M'jet the sump is really low..... anyway you have eibach sportlines dont ya? are they any good or do you wish you got coilovers? hows the ride?

They both use the same undertray therefor i have the same clearance underneath as an Mjet, theres a good inch and half maybe 2" there. Take it slow over speed bumps and you will be fine.

Rides fine, i personally dont think its much worse than when standard. The only reason i would buy coilovers is to improve the handling even further.
