Turbo problem??

Hi guys,

I have a 2006 1.9 GPS. My car doesen't seem to be very sprightly and there is a lot more turbo whistle compared to my brothers 1.9 GPS of the same age.

There is a bit of oil around the air intake feeding into the turbo.

Could there be a problem, or am i just worrying about nothing?

Thanks.

Re: Turbo problem??

I got this problem, turbo doesnt kick in till about 2500 revs, which is annoying when pulling away from a junction or round about. But looking at either replacing the turbo with the OEM or upgrading.

What turbo would upgrade to, from what car, and how much would the conversion set you back?

Re: Turbo problem??

No the 1.3 is just like that. Get it remapped first if it bothers you that much.

Interesting combination! I wonder what the difference in power that would give.

Dont worry, I got a reel of questions to ask him... And that was the first thing... if he upgraded his clutch or did anything to it...

Re: Turbo problem??

Hi guys,

My car is completely standard, no tuning or remaping.

Think i will book it in to be on the safe side.

Thanks for all your comments.
