Hi, got a a grande Punto van, 75 bhp it has been averaging from new 53-55 mpg, its done 27,000 miles serviced at 18,000 and new air filter fitted, it now averages only about 46-48 mpg not driving it any differently, any ideas?

Load, weather conditions, tyre pressures? All make a difference.
 
Better than my 1.4 Active Sport, only averaging 35 mpg, which is pathetic really, my Mk2 ELX used to average 48 mpg knocking around town and 55-60mpg on motorways. Another thing to point out on Tuesday when it goes to the Service Centre.
