In the latest issue(19th june-17th july) they have what seems to be a common argument between what is the better sporting. M-jet vs T-jet :D

Have a read to find out what in their opinion is better, but all i will say is i picked the right one :D(y)

P.s. Dont lock this please im not trying to turn it into an argument just letting people know that they have been tested against each other :)

I agree with the decision made, but on reflection it strikes me as being quite a frivolous subject to print in such a well respected publication!?....the journalist must of been clutching at some slippery straws of wisdom and/or content this month!

One thing made clear, by reading it properly, is that this isn't a contest to determine what is the 'better car' but rather which model merits the 'sporting badge' the most. Inevitably, the lighter and sparkier T-Jet will come out on top, or at least nearer to the driving expectations of a traditional sports car, especially in the opinions of some die-hard italian car purists.

So, whilst in compliance to them crowning the deserved winner in this respect, I can't help feeling that this article was a complete waste of time and fundamentally flawed. Why review two value priced hatchbacks with warm performance intentions (Neither of these cars are meant/designed to be fast) and head them up in a similar way that a Ferrari would be reviewed!?

Being an obvious buyers market the Fiat corporation design, just like every other car manufacturer, products to satisfy a customers requirement. The MJet/TJet option is a very good example of this basic and most common of strategies......Auto Italia seem to have missed the point!

I haven't read the article (can't get hold of a copy locally) but I think the comparison between the 2 models for buyers is becoming more and more relevant in the UK at least with the large gap appearing between petrol/diesel prices the fuel cost per mile is very similar, add to that the additional saving on purchase price it may sway some prospective diesel buyers to switch to petrol
