Go into my 1.2 Active 56 plate GP this morning to go to work and turned the ignition. Engine managment light came on then several others. Starts ok but dashboard looks like a christmas tree, fuel needle is at empty and rev counter sits at 0.

Tried turning off and back on but same issue. Managed to move the car off the drive so I could get a lift to work with a family memeber in their car.

Will call the RAC when I get home - has anyone else had this issue. I'm thinking complete ECU failure... (n)

before you call the RAC take the battery clamp off the negative terminal and leave it 1/2 an hour then reconnect and try again this should clear the body computer...

it will still need to be updated to stop it happening again tho..

also check your indicators they dont appear to work inside no click or flashing light but they do normally work outside,,,,

I gave it another go when I got home and low and behold it all worked fine!

I've phoned the dealer (Arnold Clark) and told them I'll be dropping it off with them first thing tomorrow morning for them to check it over. I've not disconnected the battery as it worked this time round so I'm hoping the log will show up the fault when the mechanic looks at it.
 
Update:
No faults could be found. However when I returned to collect the car I managed to speak to the mechanic. It was agreed (in fact suggested after some discussion) by him that the body computer be replaced. So provided Fiat Authorise it the part will be sent from Italy :)
