Right, I'm fed up with the amount of stone chips I'm getting, bloody Tarmac lorries and motorway

So I've been thinking for a while, would my car look good with...

i) A real £400 carbon fibre bonnet, or
ii) A cheaper option of real carbon fibre sheeting to attach to the bonnet, or
iii) Cheaper still, my favourite material... vinyl carbon fibre effect :p

I'm sh!t at photoshop so thought i'd just use the black and white tool to give some sort of impression instead

Discuss...

Thanks,
Tom

Is that a photoshop?? I think its a good solution to stone chips but looks a bit ott and chavvy!

If you hate stone chips try having black, i didnt realise how bad mine were till i polished it today! Its only 7 months old, poor baby.
I would do a re-spray, on the other hand, carbon fiber might look good on black, more subtle, hmmmmm

@ Tommy: Yeah tiz a photoshop, why do you ask?

@ GrandeJ: lol didn't steal your idea :p, you did however remind me about my earlier plans, so I thank you for that (y)

@ Smifton: I partially own an Engineering company so will probs be doing it myself.

@ Squirrel: If it turns out I'm any good at making it I'll see about doing another :p

Think I may just try the vinyl first, to see what it looks like, I know it's not quite the same thing. It's a hell of alot cheaper to try it that way first lol.

Tom

it could look good if not the whole bonnet was done the same shape as this

p.s.
venemco if ur getting a carbon fibre bonnet custom made you might aswell get some real slots that do somethin built in.

aah right. I mean, if enough people are interested, I could make one for you. Obviously for a price (y) I need to make something for my composite materials project, so a carbon fibre bonnet is ideal.

I have a friend that has some transparet foil all over his cars' bodywork. This way, not only does he not suffer frome stonechips, but you can't scratch his paint either.
Maybe this is what you need...

i only asked cos it didnt look real! No offence to your PS skills they are v good!!! I hope u inderstand, if it was real it didnt look good.

anyway, im sure you can get red/black carbon fiber.

Also that black GPS posted looks F****** amaizing!!!!!! with the exception ood the gull wing doors
