luvduvs, this is what the red abarth badge looks like on the new orleans blue, you was stuck on what colour to go for a while ago but i think that the red looks good against the blue.

True, but slapping a set of Abarth badges onto a basic 5 door Dynamic with no alloys and fog lights will look pretty try-hard, so I'll probably stick with something less radical, like tinted windows and painted tyres for now.

Besides, I can guarantee no one here knows what the scorpion is suppose to be

no one here does, well not that i have crossed yet, i want to get a set of the proper abarth badges for the gp so i can swap them over!

tyres are 215/35/18 and yes the pcd is 4x100 but cant remember the offset think the GP has same offset as vaxhuals (et 49 ?)

here's another pic for you 08broach

hi mate
yes they are the same wheels but you will need to get the right sized tyre for your car !!you cant just put any sized tyre on your car (n)

where did u get them from and did u get the tyers from the same place?, sorry i jsut have truble with the whole number side off things, eg i dont know what the measurments on tyers stand for thanks

if you want to fit bigger wheels to your car you need to check three main thing so they will fit your car propperly.

1) PCD this is basically how many studs/bolts hold your wheel on and how far they are apart from each other ie 4x100

2) OFFSET this is a bit more complicated ,if you imagen a line down the centre of your wheel where the wheel fits to the hub, then offset is a measurment of how far offcentre this line is compaired to the rim of the wheel ie ET 49

3) ROLLING RADIUS this is the measurement from the centre of the wheel to the outside of the tyre.this will affect how far one turn of the wheel will travel along the ground (circumfrance of a circle type of thing).the bigger the wheel the lower the profile will need to be to keep the rolling radius the same.the numbers on a tyre will help you calculate this. ie 215/35/18.
215 is the width of the tyre across the tread
35 is the profile (this is not a measurement in mm it is a percentage of the tyre width )
18 is obviously the size of the wheel

ok dont worry about calculating the size yourself have a look at this link for a tyre calculator and a better discription of the above

http://revolution.alloysuk.com/

tried to keep this as simple as possable for you hope it helps

forgot to ad a couple of things.if you dont get the right size tyres the rolling radius will be bigger or smaller obviously.if bigger it will overgear your car and your speedo will under read (ie show 60mph when you are doing more).if smaller the reverse will happen under gear ,over rev and speedo will over read. Also if RR is to big or tyre to wide you risk problems of rubbing.

lastly you must work off your tyre size and dont assume that you need 215/35/18 tyres .you will need these for a 130sporting but it will depend on what tyre size your car has as standard for what size you will need (as i said check the tyre calculator)

now just study all the info and after your head stops hurting you should now what your looking for.

but any good car accesorie shop should be able to advise proply.try ringing the shop in the link i gave you there a good bunch of lads that know their stuff (y)

K2EVO I think your car looks stunning. I'm new to the fiat forum and wonder whether you will be able to advise me on something?.....

I have a set of force 10's like yours and I see that you have lowered the front 25mm and the rear 30mm. Do you think that there is enough clearance to lower 40mm at the front and 30mm at the rear? At the moment I have standard springs fitted, but the car sits too high for my liking. Also have you felt a difference in the ride since you've lowered your gp?

P50NTO hi mate welcome to the forum. (y)
my car is a 130sporting so comes lower than most of the other GP models so if your is not a sporting then the bigger drop should be ok.to be honnest mine could go lower without any probs.

found very little differance in ride quality with the lowering springs but the sporting is stiffish to start with.

get some pictures of your car posted so we can see what its like mate.

Cheers K2EVO. Ok I will probably go ahead and get the Eibach sportline kit that I was on about. Eibach seems to be the preferred choice for gp owners, so i guess thats for a good reason.

I'm planning to get some work done on my gp in the next few weeks. It's a 3dr 1.2 active in new orleans blue. The only thing I have done to it so far is put the alloys on, but I am about to order the full NFS bodykit, which I have found online for £490. A friend of mine works at a bodyshop and he will spray it for me for £60. At the same time i'm planning to get my mirrors and door handles colour coded, as well as my calipers and rear drums. I've also thought about changing the sidelights for rainbow bulbs. The only thing i'm not sure yet what to do about is the foglamp recess. As mine's an active i'm not fortuate to have fogs. I wasn't sure whether to leave the recess as black plastic, or to colour code it as well to blend it in. What do you think?

Once everything is done, I will post some pics on here. I'm just hoping it will look as good as i plan it to. I just want to get it to a sporting spec on the exterior and just tweak it slightly to make it more personal. As a number of others have mentioned on the forum, the grande punto is a cracking car and doesn't need much doing to it:cool:
