I decided to write this guide to help with Dualogic gearbox problems after seeing a Brazilian mechanic that has a youtube channel and deals with Dualogic gearbox repairs. He channel is very popular (<i>search Motortech dualogic</i>) and has even had clients transport their cars from Sao Paulo all

Re: Dualogic troubleshooting Guide

Hi good article, just one point though. I spoke to Shop4parts, really good service, they were kind enough to give me the weight of the accumulator, which according to their database is 826 grams. The same as my one does so I am left wondering if more than on weight of accumulator. So now to plug in the Foxwell NT414 and attempt to reset system after allowing oil level to fall too low

Re: Dualogic troubleshooting Guide

I guess the weight might be different if the volume of the accumulator is bigger the one on the CFC328F is 280cm≥ preloaded at 27 [bar]

On the CFC300 M20 six speed is 250cm3, preloaded to 24 bars at 20 įC same for the M40 Ducato. One other way to also test if it is not leaking insert a chopstick and feel it goes all the way through.

Re: Dualogic troubleshooting Guide

Hi,
I have a Lancia Delta with 1.6 Multijet 120 (fiat engine) (200.000 km) and a selectronic gearbox (very similar to dualogic or selespeed) Can I ask you for your advise:
The system is running fine :-) but I have had a small leak somewhere from the selectonic unit for about 2 years. I have replaced the oil in the selespeed and the gearbox about 2 years ago.

1. Is it normal that when I open the car through passenger door and check the selespeed oil level it is right to the top of the container, well above the maximum level. But as soon as the pump is activated the level drops well below the minimum level...

2.The pressure in my system is between 35-40 bars. I heard it is meant to be lower than in Alfas, but does anyone know if it is acceptable?
Thanks a lot for your advice,
Artur

Re: Dualogic troubleshooting Guide

Hi!
In the last year I have been the owner of a 07 GP 1.4 8V Dynamic MTA Dualogic with approx. 140k km on the counter. When it's cold, it sometimes has trouble changing from N. to 1. or R. Occasionally, the display shows that the function is not possible and I have to stop the engine and start over again. I have a fully functional MES and it does not show any error codes, but it shows some thousand failed shifts to 1. and R. I have tried "Clutch Self-Calibration" and one of the parameters was off limit, I do not remember which one. I have tried to move the clutch activation arm with a big crowbar, but I canít move it, I think the shaft is stuck and the activation arm is bent, but I canít find some good pictures of how it should look when it's OK or Not, Õ include some pictures I took with my phone. I can change the arm myself if I can get a new one, but I canít find the correct part number, I already have a clutch kit so I can change it all at once. I realize that I have to remove the dualogic actuator before I can remove the gearbox, I can do it myself, but I canít find any good "How to" and I'm afraid to do something wrong or do double work. I think the dualogic actuator as such is OK, it has, apart from the failed shifts, never failed and the liquid in the container is still above the green line. I am currently doing service to the car and have, among other things, switched toothed belt and coolant pump so I can as well do it now that the car is lifted, the coolant is drained and the ECU and battery removed.

Re: Dualogic troubleshooting Guide

Hi!
I got the actuator out, I found that my brothers eLearn CD-Rom had a ĒHow-toĒ deeply imbedded in the clutch section. My netbook has no internal drive, but I am now using an external USB drive. The partnumber of the arm is forged? into it, but I still donít know if it is bent. Also the arm was not stuck, but it had so little free play that it have nicked the bellow (see pictures), I donít know the partnumber of that.

Re: Dualogic troubleshooting Guide

Hi tonico77!
Thanks for that, but for 70.60 € each I could probably start a production of seal gaskets myself. I think I have fixed it using some liquid silicon gasket.
But I have another problem, compared to the new one the old clutch disk was only worn half ways to the rivets, so why was there no free play at all, it could have lastet maybe 50k km more, could the arm be put at the rod in a wrong position at the splines, or maybe the membrane spring is broken, it don't look like that. is there a way to messure the arms possition if the disk is new or worn out when the gear box is mountet at the motor.

Hello Tonico,
Do you have any how to guide about how to remove and replace the clutch on a Panda with Dualogic transmission? Thanks.

Re: Dualogic troubleshooting Guide

Hi Chipotec0!
Have you tried eLearn from the download library e.g

https://www.fiatforum.com/downloads....downloadid=485

I dont know if it covers the dualogic version, I'm using my chromebook so I can't test it, but the later GP versions do.

Re: Dualogic troubleshooting Guide

Thanks a lot kjeldio! I will take a look to the information you've kindly provided me. I have the Haynes workshop book for the Panda and I have done several services to it (like replacing the timing belt and water pump, for instance). But, it doesn't cover the Dualogic version. Actually, it seems that nowehere there's information about Dualogic and everything about it must be found out in forums like this! SOMEBODY PLEASE write a workshop manual about the Dualogic!
