How to Install / replace the Pollen/Cabin filter
Step by step guide to Replacing or fitting a new pollen filter

No really tools are needed apart from a small paintbrush and a Hoover with a crevice tool..

The Replacement Interval of the filter varies obviously with the environment the car is used then again a quick hover regularly can eek a bit more life out of the filter as OEM replacement is

Great guide as every Andy.
Just took a look at mine - was completely black (20k miles, 18 months old). AC want 33 to replace it so I think I'll just order the filter and fit it myself, saving about 15

Thanks Andy. Fitted the filter today on a 2007 1.2 Active, that we have had since new. Oddly there wasn't a filter there to begin with.

john: if the car doesn't have air con fiat for some reason do not fit one

Lukeyy19

check the local motorfactors a pattern part from the likes of FRAM or WIX are likely to be cheaper than the fiat OEM filter the FRAM one in mine now has a charcoal layer to remove some odours (not that i can tell much of a difference)

'you need to hook the top on first after pushing the filter slightly further in with one hand whilst locating the top catch (as it expands tight against the cover to make an air tight seal)'
