does a bravo engine heat up much as i drove the car from luton in bedfordshire down to cheshunt north london and it didnt heat up at all till i got down to london n was stuck in traffic and then it only went up just under quater the way

sounds like ur thermostat is stuck open, meaning the collant is constantly circulating round ur engine, and not letting the engine warm up, sounds like u need a new one, not an expensive fix

now u sed that i have just worried my self there is a bottle on the right hand side when u open the bonnet im hoping you are supposed to put screen wash in there because that is what i have put in there... is the thermostat easy to do yourself or better done by professional

i tried to do it myself, and it ended up in disaster, i wont go into it, but its very hard to bleed the system if you have no idea about cars

What engine do you have in your Bravo? Can't tell you if you've put windscreen wash into the cooling system.

1.6 16v Sx

The 1.6, while looking from the front. The windscreen wash bottle is on the left side of the engine. The engine coolant bottle is right of the engine which can be found next to the passengers side headlight, surrounded by the air intake.

ah thank god i put screen wash in because on the cap of the bottle on the left ithad an icon that looks like windscreen wash
