Anyone suffered or suffering from a noisy gearbox?

Mine seems to be noisy only when slowing down Any ideas?

It better not be a new gearbox as my girlfriend will hang me from the ceiling she wasnt to happy about me having it back after the last repair job.

All help appreciated!

Last oil change?

Never had it changed in the two years i have owned the car, do they change the gearbox oil when you have a new clutch?

One would hope so.

But after 65k and probably no oil changes you'd expect a bit of noise.

Wheres the drain plug for the gearbox oil?

@Reason i ask is because ive had the clutch replaced @around 58k so it had new oil then. Basically a bit of noise doesnt mean my gearbox is shot to bits?

All gearboxes make noise, there is a lot in them. If the neglect the oil they wear quicker.

Yours is relatively old so it will rattle a bit.

How hard is it to change the oil, might pop into a clutch or geabox place to change it for me cheers for your help Tom.
