Im going to be driving up to cheltenham soon and will be the first time on my own without the gf who is with the AA so i think its time to get some breakdown cover :/

Been looking around and I want to get one that covers taking the car back to where you live not just a local garage.

The best ive found so far is green flag for £80.85, think RAC was similar and AA was £104 which is definatly outa the question.

can anyone recomend / suggest any others ? ?

Do you have any Tesco Clubcard vouchers? I use mine to buy full RAC cover for £20 of vouchers (normal price is £80)

so thats why you spend a day on the till. steal everyones vouchers

I was with green flag they were utter shite, took the mechanics ages to get out and when they got out they all seemed like they couldnt be bothered to be there and usually just took me to a garage, i called them out 3 times and not once did i get good service, i have now changed to the AA and they are fantastic called them out 3 times and the longest i have had to wait was 20 mins and every time they got me back on the road, i cant recommend them enough

Im with the aa too, never had them out yet. but all i have heard is really good things about them and it only cost £39.

lol @ cynic. Er no mate. Try to avoid "working" on tills as much as possible although I've had to do some this week, unfortunately.

I was worried my car wasn't guna make it home one day, but called in at Tesco's on the way for some shopping.

Turns out they do free call out to your car if it breaks down in their car park. Guy came and inspected it, and noise turned out to be just a bearing, so was safe to drive to garage.

Good to know tho
