well speaking to tommy k last night and i cant believe how stupid i am. lol. i forgot to check the insurance on a 20vt. d'oh. its 2k a year. insurnace on a cupra r is 1.5k a year. (thats like my maximum)

so continue to write up my ebay report. thinking im gonna sell and get a cupra r. and my mate calls me.

basically his brother in law has bought a house 3 bedroom massive in size. he bought it for 160k but he wants the land to build more houses on. we can have the houe for 100k. good stepping stone on to the properity ladder. and with the other houses built behind. properity value could go up.

sooo waiting for my mate to sort out the prices ect but i could be keeping the brava. fitting airbags. the leaving it as it is and getting a house.

or 13k loan comes out i get a cupra r and mod it

imo get the house. I doubt other houses behind it will increase the price, get it valued by an estate agent on the basis that you are not getting the land with the house and there will be other houses near you just to make sure that it is a good price.

Remember that on top of the mortgage you have council tax @ over £100pcm, insurance maybe £30pcm, gas, electric, water, tv license, phone line etc etc etc before you buy any food so cost it out and make sure you can afford it without killing yourself.

Don't get a 13k load for a car, in my opinion that is crazy! You'll be paying about £350pcm for about 4 years! then the insurance, fuel, servicing etc etc. You'd be better swapping the brava for a run around and spending say 5k on a kit car.

you can sleep in ur car but u cant race a house...........lol

re

if i want alredy in debt and coudl get a decent mortgauge i'd def do thew above,

even if you got a run around with a towing hitch for 500 quid, bought a skyline for 4/5k for trackdays and trailer it there!

you'd still have a much quicker car that yuou werent racking up the miles on for half the money!

Re: re

agree with Al (other al), although i don't know what track days cost, and i'd still go for a kit car as they are easily as quick as the skyline (depending what you get) but are built on common cheap cars and are cheap to run and insure. Plus you feel much closer to the road and very involved.

re

i do agree akit car woul be more fun. .

i was thinking more that when you eventually get to 25 or a point where insurance is cheap enough a skyline woudl be more practiacl to put onto the road!

Re: re

sounds like a great price for a house, especially if it is quite big. i'd go for it, you may never get an offer as good again!

Re: re

as long as your going to make your money back if/when you sell it

Re: re

£1500 for insurance - you must be rich beyond your wildest dreams!

I didn't like paying £600+ for an Integra, aged 37 with 5 million years no claims and a blemish free license!!!

Re: re

neither am i :)...

i pay 1300 for my brava as it is. so an extra 200 isnt gonna kill me is it..

plus ur 37 u got ur full no claims im on 21 with 2 years i dont espect it to be that low
