What's the furthest anyone's gone while the petrol light's been on? Not a good idea I know, but it was needed and I managed to get 50 - 60 mile to make it home. Was very on edge all the way though

In theory you have 7ltrs left when the light comes on.

I have let it below half a tank a few times, and even let it below a quarter full once. Only when i was driving up from London did i have to put more than £30 in, in one go!
