Just got my brava back from rip off Vardy, it was in to see what was causing the knocking noise from the front suspension. Turns out it needs new lower suspension arms on each side. Warranty company will pay for one arm but the labour for both, using the old wear and tear get out clause. Why the hell are they paying for 1 and not the other, when they are paying for both to get fitted.

Nige how do i go about trying to get a BOO discount? Do i take my membership card in to vardy and hope for the best or do i have to contact a specific parts dept.

Just had my Marea 2l 20v in for groaning noises on front suspension. Vardy's told me worn lower suspension bushes and torsion bar bushes. Repaired/replaced under warranty. This was a 2 year extended warranty( only 3 months left)
Unfortunatly odometer bulb had blown so had to pay for replacement bulb at there insistance because they claimed they couldn't read the mileage. Total cost for bulb fitting 73p for bulb £55 for labour. Now I don't have a bulb working in the temp gauge and the right side drivers air vent is fckd.Then 4 hours before doing a high speed night time drive to Aberdeen the drip tray underneath the car decided to drop down because it hadn't been refitted correctly just two bolts into the chassis no fixings anywhere else. Imagine the mess in could had made to the underneath of the car if had come away at 80mph and possible damage to anyone following.
Needless to say the car has to go back for the air vent and bulb to be repaired. A letter of complaint has been forwarded to the Service Manager at Vardy's

Odometer bulb

Terrific!! My odometer bulb is out as well, but you can still read it O.K. during the day. Now that you've told me the price to get it replaced i'll get a local mechanic to do it. I got a 2 year extended warranty with the car, think i'll phone and ask why they are'nt covering both arms.
