I'm putting my 1.4s sx in for a service but I'm using the AA service centres (formerly halfords). They suggested going for castrol Magnatec (semi synthetic)on the oil as they said this was the recommended oil. I was wondering whether I should go for mobil 1 (an extra £15) but I don't know whether you can damage the engine by putting too high a grade of oil in it. Does anyone know whether this is the case?

I have put Mobil 1 in my engine at every service for the last 6 years,It has done 95000m and it still sounds and runs sweet, its a 1.8 Bravo. Go for the Mobil 1 its well worth the extra 15 Quid
