Hi,
This morning whilst braking I had a light come on the
dash , just underneath that little nob you press to reset the trip computer. It went away after a couple
of corners - everything felt fine though.

Its amber and says "STOP" and has a pic that looks like
brake lights below it. What does it mean ?
I have just had new discs and pads would that explain it ?
Is the computer confused by the new brakes bedding in?
Or does it mean by brake lights are on the blink ?

is blown. Press brake pedal then jump out and run like **** to the back to see which one it is. Alternativley ask a friend to stand at the back!

park with the boot to a wall or window and see reflection

If both your brake lights are ok. Check the terminals to the rear light clusters are not corroded as this can give the same problem and would be intermittant.

could be the abs light if you have abs

Check the handbook to determine what the light is for
If it the brake warning light the problem could be :
A-When the new brakes were fitted was the brake fluid level interfered with?.
B- There are connections to the brake pads on the front which are failure/wear warnings and if one of them has not been reconnected properly following the brake pad replacement it can cause the light going on and off.
Don't take chances with it get it checked especially if it's the brake fluid !!.
