Fancy taking your 500 to "The Green Hell"? Or for that matter any of the Cinq's or Sinq's. Or any other fiat. all ff members welcome :)

Well here's your chance.

Leaving the UK on Friday 1st October on the 8am ferry, travel to hotel/campsite for a couple of days at the Nurburgring, returning on Monday 4th October.

Norfolkline are doing crossing for well under £40 return, the accomodation starts at £10 per night for camping, or about £40 for a hotel.

I've booked into Sliders Guest House - 32euros pp/pn inc breakfast. For those who want to spend a little less there's Camping Am Nurburgring with piches from 12 euros per night.

Re: 500s To The 'Ring

i only live 3 hours away...you know i'm coming.w00t w00t.
me speaka da lingo too.
btw the weather in Germany and especially the ring at that time of year is TERRIBLE (will probably be sunny now i've said that) so be prepared,
once i get permission i'll book into the slider as well.
not gonna rag my car, more interested in meeting you guys and sharing a few beers.

(ps gonna ask the missus for permission tonight first..)

All i need now is someone to detail my car whilst i'm there..........

Re: 500s To The 'Ring

im considering taking the sei,
especially as its just before my 18th birthday, so parents can pay for the costs ;)

and i speak the lingo a little bit too, would be good practise ;)

the law says you don't have to have them on BUT in the event of and accident if you're the party who doesn't have them on .......
if its still warm i'm gonna try and keep my alloys on,gotta go round the ring on summer tyres if i can help it.

how much is the ring? considering this tbh. as i want to see what its like!

i would also be using my winter tyres which in the summer are known as summer tyres for me!. bring on the yokohammaaaasss! :p

oh and nosher i think you need to look at the law for driving abroad! pretty sure you need to be 21 and even if that isnt true try insuring europe cover? i tried going last year when i was 20 and was told i needed to be 21! i am now just that age and have 14days free europe cover!!! yayyy

To give people an idea of fuel costs, we just got back from the Spa Italia and Nurburgring run. I drove 1105.5 miles in a 500 1.4 and the magic computer says I made a 29.2 mpg average with fuel at about 1.47 euros. That's about 250 euros in fuel costs. That included 2 hour long grand parade track sessions around Spa and 9 laps of the ring where I wasn't tiptoeing around. :D
