Hello everyone, I have a fiat Ducato motorhome 100 multijet 2.2 the clutch pedal has been sticking and not returning from time to time, I've been told by my garage that it's the slave cylinder that needs replacing, I'm not mechanically minded hence me coming on here, but they've told me it's in the gearbox, they have quoted me £575 do you think this is excessive?

the gearbox has to be removed to get the slave cylinder out. Quite a bit of work involved.

There’s a rubber gaiter around thrust bearing they become dislodged causing bearing to stick ,at dealer bearing around £130, oil £30 ,2 driveshaft seals £60 ,clutch fluid £10 , 2 new driveshaft hub nuts £60, around 6 to 8 hour fitting at £85 per hour plus vat ,not even mentioned clutch kit , are they fitting new clutch too in that price?find exactly what there gonna fit for that price or they just changing bearing and reusing all the part Iv mentioned your supposed to change

No didn't mention a new clutch, just the slave cylinder and I should imagine all the old parts, van has only done 15000 miles clutch ok
