I have a 1999 2.8 idtd with a MG5T box does any one know where i can get the 5th gear end cover from the part number is 9614498188 i have also tried peugeot and citreon and got it out on all the breakers sites

axelaugustin-de (Augustin group ) have everything you require in stock from single fifth gear 75 euros to fifth gear kits 299 ueros and everything in between.. brilliant firm English spoken same day posting hope that helps. should add when you visit site select fiat professional then select model and so on. sorry I think I have misread your posting re-end cover and giving wrong information and just checked and augustins don't list end cover although it may be worth a phone call because they do stock unlisted parts occasionally you might get lucky.

Hi thanks for that however they do not have the case 9614498188 and the other part which is the seal i can get locally.
I cant believe mine is the only one to have rusted out

Think I have what you need, it came off a 98ish 2.8d. Cross ref the part numbers and if its what you need we can do a deal.

A scrap yard gearbox is your best bet. Fiat agencies have dumped most pre-2000 spare parts in the skip. Maybe a specialist parts stockist can help if you know exactly what you want but they won't be cheap.
